Sophia Dijkhuis

I graduated from French and Modern Greek Literature at the Aristotle University of Thessalonica (Greece).

I taught French, Greek and Dutch language and communication trainings at different language institutes and schools for more than 20 years. Because I wanted to help my students in the best possible way, in 2008 I started developing workshops in intercultural skills and communication for foreign workers and job seekers.

Until a couple of years ago I also translated English, French and Greek, but I stopped because my passion is doing trainings and workshops and I had too much work to do both.

Sophia: "People that come from other countries don't just have a new language to learn. The functioning of the Dutch society is so different from most other countries in the world, that it is difficult for them to become successful. It is however very well possible to show these people how they can build a successful career in the Netherlands.  

Companies that invest in the communication with their staff, will see satisfied people, doing a job they are good at and they like. That is how they also see their sales increase. It is exactly the foreign workers that can contribute more to their company, because they look at problems from a different point of view and they can solve them using knowledge from their country of origin."

I use Linux by the Ubuntu platform as my Operation System. Linux is a fantastic operation system, you can do everything with. Ubuntu has a very professional forum, where you are served and supported fast and efficiently. Worth while to consider when you will need a new operation system!
